On the first night we went to the Navigli District. This is all that remains of the original canal system in Milan. It has many bridges, restaurants, and bars. We went to a typical restaurant, and enjoyed the fantastic Italian Cuisine.

The
Colonne di San Lorenzo is the best-known Roman Ruin in Milan
It is located in front of the Basilca of San Lorenzo. It is a square with a row of columns on either side, which were taken from a public bath house
dating from the 2nd century. The columns were moved to their current
location sometime in the 4th century.
South of the columns, one of the
medieval gates of the city is still in place, with Roman marbles in it.

Whilst walking the streets we came upon some street art at the entrance to a small shop.

| Duomo Cathedral |
Duomo Cathedral is in the centre of the Piazza Del Duomo. The Cathedral is the 4th largest in the world, and was constructed between 1386 and 1577. It contains the worlds largest collection of marble statues, as well as having on display some of the Catholic churches treasures.
Atop the Cathedral is a golden statue of Madonna, nicknamed locally as "Madunina" the Little Madonna.
